Introduction

The Web 2.0 course was created by Diane Brook, Helen Christou and Greg Basford at CEO Sydney and was first released in 2009. Since then, the CEO Sydney eLearning team has continued to update the course with relevant content and activities. Sydney Diocese has kindly offered to share this resource across all Dioceses which now offers us this on-line PD option.

Message from the course creators
To Wollongong Teachers,
We hope it provides a scaffold for learning and a basic introduction to the potential of working in the world of Web 2.0 for all teachers and interested staff. This is a dynamic course, we invite feedback and regularly incorporate changes and improvements. Please don't be concerned if new things appear in modules you have already done, you don't need to go back, just keep going, working through at your own pace.

If you would like to make recommendations or changes to this course please contact Wollongong Learning Technologies Education Officers and these recommendations will be forwarded onto Sydney CEO for consideration.

Diane, Helen and Greg.

Course Aims:
The aim of the course is to offer teachers an alternate PD option. This Web 2.0 Course aims to encourage exploration, learning and sharing between teachers in an online environment with a particular focus on the google Apps for Education.
Teachers are encouraged to enjoy engaging in the course for their
own learning. Engagement and experience in using web tools is further developed by creating blog posts and sharing blogs within the course learning community.
